Mark Allen Johnson began his career as an international photographer, videographer, and journalist. His clients were the who’s who of publishing including TIME, Newsweek, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, MAXIM, and The Economist just to name a few. His images, videos, written stories, investigative news reports, & documentaries have been seen on nearly every continent and countless countries.
Since 2010 Johnson has seamlessly transitioned his Gonzo journalism skill sets into the world of TV and film production. Using unorthodox methods and a global network of contacts, Johnson specializes in producing, negotiating, and logistics from within difficult and very often dangerous-to-access areas and subcultures. He prides himself in making the impossible, possible.
Additionally, Johnson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and has worked in conjunction with domestic and international police, military, prisons, criminals, organized crime syndicates, gangs, and governments. Mark has produced projects in Central and South America, SE Asia, The Middle East, Europe, numerous African countries including conflict zones, Mexico including the current narco war regions, and has been embedded in fully engaged combat missions with U.S. troops in Iraq.
